1. Synch our bodies with the natural circadian rhythm which is related to the dark and light cycles. He says during light hours, our physiology is designed to process nutrients taken in, and during dark hours, cells are supposed to be dying off and being consumed for waste removal. Dark is a period for sleep which coincides (or should) with fasting.
2. Minimize artificial light during sleep hours. Ari says artificial light fools the body into acting as if it should be processing food and we should not reinforce that by eating during those times. Instead we should stop eating before it gets dark and should eliminate light from all sources in the room where we sleep.
3. On rising in the morning, at least 20 min before consuming anything else, drink a glass of water to dilute the waste the body is working to dispose of.
Since I was watching his webcast until nearly midnight ( http://www.theenergyblueprint.com/how-to-increase-cell-regeneration/?inf_contact_key=c70ab001f62628f330c2ed9da454c54d3d7b570a28a7f06578793425ee88558b ), circadian synching was out of the question, but I did block out all light in the bedroom and drink the water on rising.
#s 2 and 3 seem doable. #1 strikes me as daunting. Will do the best I can.
