Beautiful, sunshiny day, today. Too warm for me already. Budwig wants sun on our skin, but I melt and become useless when I get too hot; and I didn't want to miss walking so I wore a hat. Sunglasses too, for the sake of vanity, now wanting to intensify my already deep frown and squint lines.
I don't know if there is any difference in the way fair skinned and darker skinned people process vitamin D, relative to sunlight. I am fair skinned and burn easily. I have been taking a lot of vit. D-3 supplement in order to manage Fibro. I will begin cutting back soon, but am not going to go cold turkey, especially in view of my low tolerance for heat.
Yesterday was a bust with only about 4 blocks, due to leaky-gut-syndrome back cramping. After a bentonite-psyllium cocktail remedied that overnight, it ceased to be a problem for today. How come the leaky-gut? I have no idea. I can't think of any dietary changes that could account for it. Dairy has, in the past contributed, but since being on the BP, I had seemed to be tolerating the dairy quite well. But then, that is the nature of the syndrome they have dubbed "Fibromyalgia." Usually, I have no idea what causes the symptoms that crop up unexpectedly. Anyway, today, I walked about 16 blocks that included a block long steep-enough Lakeside hill. I could have done more, but I had to get back for other reasons. Later today, I will be cleaning my fish pond, so there will be plenty of other kind of physical exercise.
The reason I am considering if I am in a holding pattern is that my right arm has begun to give me nervy pain when I try to use it certain ways. I remember having had a similar problem with the other arm a few years ago. After a year or more of handicap, I finally had the good sense to apply what I knew about Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement. It worked. After 15 or 20 minutes of the process, my arm was freed. Hoping to carve out the time, today, to do it for this new episode.
