MYTH: Home To The Sun
Time and again, on foot, alone, through vast fields of tall grasses, I journeyed. So tall were they above my head, nothing seemed to exist but the sun atop the horizon.
Three times, determination drove me to arrive at His feet.
Three times He turned me back. "You are not yet ready. You still have much to learn", He said. "Go back to become all that you can be."
Humbled and dejected, each time, I returned, arriving bedraggled and exhausted.
The third time, I closed myself inside my tiny, one room, windowless shack. There, I stayed, locked inside, deep inside my Self for endless time until one day, I was moved to speak. "Let there be light," I heard myself command. No sooner than the words had escaped my tongue, when the wall in front of me was rent by a large window. As the light poured into the room, it flooded through me, warming me, expanding me, inspiring me.
Beyond the window was that seemingly endless sea of golden grasses, shimmering in the dazzling light of my beloved Sun who still awaited me, hovering just above the Eternal Horizon.
"Let there be a door," I soon heard myself say. Even as I was still speaking, an ample open doorway appeared, it's door flung wide admitting more warm light.
With fresh eyes, I stepped though. So bright was the light, my eyes shut tight to filter it. New, inner landscape was revealed. Brilliant colors and shapes, a richly hued kaleidscope of original knowledge and power ready for my use. New, though it was to me, it felt as natural as breathing.
Soon, the lightest touch called my attention to my left forearm. She was beyond beautiful, soft pinkish orange, intricately patterned in ever changing colors. Though I never had seen her before,
I knew her instantly, my Soul, my butterfly-companion for my final journey to the Sun.
And so, we began our journey home together. Sometimes I walked beside her as she flew, flitting here and there, exploring, always bringing me news and knowledge. Sometimes, she carried me, sailing on the winds. At times, it seemed the winds were against us. Though we had the power to change them, we considered the whole and how we might do harm to others who needed them as they were, so we chose to tack, instead, to work with their direction instead of forcing them to do our bidding.
Sometimes, we stopped along the way to give assistance. Once, for instance, we stopped to help an ant colony rebuild it's communal structures after another, heavier footed creature had caved it in.
Came the day when we arrived at our destination. Gratefully I introduced my companion, my butterfly Soul to my beloved Sun. Warmly He received us. Embracing us, He merged us for all eternity. Admission Accomplished.
