Stack me up against all the walkers and runners in my neighborhood and I am only taking baby steps. But measured against my own capacity not so long ago, and I am making huge strides (no puns intended!) Before starting Budwig, I had to stop many times to swig homeopathic mag phis for muscle pain. The last time I had walked up a neighborhood hill, I had been in excruciating hip pain by the time I hobbled home. With the hill, I had only walked 3 blocks!
I skipped my walk on Monday, but Tues (yesterday), I took the steepest hill near my house (3 blocks up) and then kept going on the level another 5 blocks. Today, I went for a hill I thought was steeper and longer, but it turned out to be about the same steepness but a block shorter. Thing was, I charged up the first half of it without a pause. By the time I got to the top, I was winded, but that was a good thing. My poor cardiovascular system has been starving for exercise. Of course, I am still dependent on Mag phos, but taking less and less, and with today's walk, I had no joint pain, so I didn't need arnica. (Mag phos handles muscle/connective tissue pain, but not joint pain.)
Prep for the walks is freshly juiced fruit, veggie juice. Not always the same, but today's was Apple with fresh ginger slivers inserted into the apple pieces, carrots, arugala wrapped in gorgeous purple cabbage leaf, a slice of lemon, peel and all, and of course, freshly ground flax seed.
Once home, I treated myself to Budwig Museli. Still only able to take ⅔ of the mixture without becoming non-functional while I fight sleep, but on ⅔ with berries, cantaloupe and 2T fresh ground flax, lime and a small piece of banana, I am wide awake and raring to go!
The other huge stride is that I meditated this morning without falling asleep. I was a long time meditator until I started having trouble with falling asleep, not just during meditations, but after meals and when driving. Using other remedies, the problem had diminished. Now, since starting Budwig, I still have occasional bouts of sleep demand, but find I can overcome them more and more easily.
I started this blog for myself, but this morning it occurred to me to let people know who read the Flaxoil2 blog, just in case there are other people who are living with other conditions than cancer and wondering how the protocol might serve them. Recognizing, of course, that everyone's system and condition differs. This chronicle is just of my experience and not necessarily indicative of how it will work for anyone else. I will make that invitation next…..with the caveat that my time is limited. In my experience, a good blog takes time. So…..to visitors, what you see is what you get. I hope it helps, somehow.
